In fact, the smart grid is not China's patent. The earliest and best country in the world to promote smart grid is Italy. At present, 27 million users in Italy have all realized smart grid management.
At the beginning of last year, five days after Obama took office, the White House released the progress report of the economic recovery plan. The US government announced that it would install 40 million smart meters for American households in the next three years, and invest $more than 4 billion to promote the modernization of the power grid. China is also the country that called for and built a smart grid earlier. At present, the smart grid is divided into two parts: the large power grid and the terminal power grid. For many years, the large power grid dominated by the State Grid Corporation of China has been doing intelligent work. In some areas, the intelligence level of China's large power grid is the world's leading, and the overall intelligence of the large power grid is also quite high.
However, some analysis points out that the "short leg" of China's smart grid is at the end of the grid. In order to promote smart grid in our country, 0.5 billion meters will be replaced if only one smart meter is replaced. Each meter will reach 500 billion yuan based on 1000 yuan. Related to the listed companies are mainly self-instrument shares (600848), Great Wall Development (000021) and so on.
Driven by smart grid planning, it is expected that digital substations will become the mainstream of new substations in the future, gradually replacing conventional substations. From the perspective of the listed companies involved, Guodian Nanji (600268) has developed a number of digital substation products, and successfully put into operation in my country's first 500kV digital substation pilot project. Guodian Nanrui (600406) and Xu Ji Electric (000400) also have strong competitive strength in digital substation projects, occupying the first camp of relay protection and substation automation equipment; siyuan Electric (002028), Guodian Nanji, Xu Ji Electric and Changyuan Group are leading in digital transformers. Pinggao Electric (600312) and Siyuan Electric have strong advantages in the field of digital switching.
In addition, in order to better dispatch and consumption of clean energy, increasing the construction of inter-network contact lines will also be an inevitable choice for the power grid, which is also in line with the concept that a strong and safe power grid is always the premise of a smart grid. In this regard, as the industry's leading primary and secondary equipment manufacturers, TBEA (600089), Pinggao Electric, China XD (601179), Xuji Electric and Tianwei Baopan (600550) will be expected to share more market share.
